Glorious George’s Christmas
In 2014 we worked for Historical Royal Palaces on a dining table display illustrating Queen Caroline’s Christmas dinner of 1736. In 1736 George II was in Hanover for Christmas but his Queen, Caroline, ate her Christmas dinner on the 25 December at Kensington Palace.
The design incorporated the items on the menu that day which still exist in the records of the palace clerk.
